Draft Itinerary

Day 1 – Leave Tennova Healthcare early this morning to head out for the Creation Museum.  Once we arrive, enjoy an included lunch on-site.  Walk through biblical history as you explore the stunning Garden of Eden and other Biblical scenes.  Tour the Museum on your own and maybe even take an optional camel ride!  Head out for our lodging in Florence, KY. Dinner on your own.

 Day 2.  Breakfast at our hotel.  This morning we will visit The Ark Encounter.   The Ark s a full-scale representation of Noah’s Ark built per the dimensions in the Bible (510 feet long, 85 feel wide and 51 feet high) Its 3 decks depict the interactive story of Noah complete with zoo.  Grab lunch on your own at The Ark food court.  Tonight, enjoy a fabulous Captain’s Dinner River Cruise on the Bell of Cincinnati!  Music, dancing, and dinner as we take a cruise the Ohio River.

 Day 3.  Breakfast.  Check-out and drive to Bardstown, KY.  Bardstown is known as “The Bourbon Capital of the World!” Moreover, in 2012, USA Today proclaimed Bardstown “The Most Beautiful Small Town in America.”  Tour the delightful Heaven Hill Distillery!  Next, make a stop at the Abbey of Gethsemani visitor center and gift shop – great opportunity to pick up some of the best cheeses and fudge in the state, all hand-made at the Abbey!!  Later, explore the shops in quaint downtown Bardstown on your own.  Dinner is at the Talbot Inn and features the famous Kentucky Hot Brown meal.  Tonight, attend the popular play  “The Steven Foster Story.”  Featuring over fifty of Foster’s greatest compositions such as“Oh! Susanna”, “Camptown Races,” “Beautiful Dreamer,” and Kentucky’s’ state song “My old Kentucky Home” the show captures the essence of a by-gone-era through song, dance, breathtaking costumt tes and a picture-perfect setting in My Old Kentucky Home State Park!  Overnight in Elizabethtown, KY

 Day 4.  Breakfast.  This morning we will visit the new Vietnam Veterans Wall and General George Patton Museum of Leadership in Fort Knox.  Later today, we head home, full of fond memories of our delightful tour!
